Abstract

Skills and knowledge in financial management activities are important for students. Financial management behavior is one of the benchmarks of students' success in managing their finances. This study aims to determine the influence of financial knowledge, financial attitude, locus of control, and lifestyle on financial management behavior. The population for this study consists of students from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) who receive the Kartu Indonesia Pintar Kuliah (KIP-K) scholarship at UPN "Veteran" Jawa Timur. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling, and 84 respondents were obtained using the Slovin formula. The study uses primary data collected from respondents' questionnaires. The analysis technique employed is Partial Least Square (PLS). The results of the study show a positive influence of financial knowledge, financial attitude, locus of control, and lifestyle on financial management behavior. Students with good financial knowledge, financial attitude, locus of control, and lifestyle tend to exhibit good and directed financial management behavior.
