Abstract
Pabrik Isopropil Alkohol dari Propilena dan Air dengan Proses Indirect Hidration dengan Kapasitas 50.000 Ton/Tahun akan didirikan di Limbangan, Kecamatan Balongan, Indramayu, Jawa Barat, 45282. Pabrik Isopropil Alkohol ini menggunakan sistem operasi kontinyu selama 24 jam dalam sehari dengan 330 hari kerja dan 227 karyawan. Pabrik ini menggunakan bahan baku Propilena yang diperoleh dari PT Pertamina RU VI yang berada di Kec. Balongan, Indramayu, Asam Sulfat 98% dari PT Chandra Asri di Banten, serta Natrium Hidroksida 60% diperoleh dari PT Asahimas Chemical, Banten. Produk yang dihasilkan yakni Isopropil Alkohol 99%. Biodiesel dapat digunakan sebagai energi alternatif pengganti Bahan Bakar Minyak untuk jenis diesel/solar. Isopropil Alkohol dalam industri kimia merupakan salah satu jenis zat yang cukup banyak dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan baku diantaranya pada industry farmasi sebagai antiseptic, dan kosmetik sebagai bahan campuran pada astringent.
