Abstract
Investors usually use financial ratios in assessing a company's financial statements before making an investment. The profitability ratio is a ratio that is often used by investors. Components of profitability ratios include Return on Assets (ROA) and Return on Equity (ROE). This research aims to analyze and prove the influence of Return on Assets and Return on Equity on stock prices. This research is quantitative research using secondary data sources. The research population is banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2019-2022 with a total of 46 companies. Purposive sampling technique was used in this research to obtain a sample of 29 companies. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. The research results show that: (1) Return on Assets (ROA) does not significantly influence the share prices of the banking sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. (2) Return on Equity (ROE) has a significant effect on the share prices of the banking sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.
