Abstract
Rubber plant is an estate commodity which produce latex as an economic product. Latex production very determinted by action of maintenance. One of it is by stimulant application. Productive age of rubber tree can support the responses of stimulant application in term of tree physiological states. This research aims to find an interaction between stimulant frequency and productive age of rubber plant in affect to yield production and quality of latex. The research was carried out on February 2024 – Mei 2024 at Perkebunan Nusantara I Regional 5, Kebun Gelantangan, Jember, East Java. This reseach used Nested Design methods with two treatment factor, that is frequency of stimulant (sub-plot) and productive age of rubber plant (main plot). Frequency of stimulant consists of 4 levels, namely control, GAS 30, GAS 15 and GAS 10. Productive age of rubber plant consists of 4 levels, namely TM-3, TM-4, TM-7 and TM-8. Based on this levels, obtained 16 treatment combinations that were repeated 3 times, so obtained 48 types of an experiment with 15 sampel plants on each experimental unit. The result showed that frequency of stimulant and productive age have interaction which affect to yield production and quality of latex. The combinations of stimulant frequency TM-7 and productive ages of rubber plant TM-3 showed the best interaction.
