Abstract
Procurement is an activity aimed at providing goods or services needed by an institution or company. The procurement of paddy or rice is an activity carried out by Perum Bulog in executing government assignments. Inventory control aims to ensure adequate inventory availability, avoid excess or shortage of inventory, and optimize resource utilization. The objective of this study is to analyze optimal ordering, safety stock, and reorder point at Perum Bulog East Java Regional Office. Quantitative analysis was conducted by determining the EOQ, SS, and ROP values obtained by Perum Bulog East Java Regional Office for the period 2018-2022. The results of the study show that the varying optimal order quantities each year help identify efficient ordering frequencies, reduce ordering and storage costs, and minimize the risk of inventory shortages. The reorder point, adjusted with historical data and a seven-day lead time, ensures adequate inventory, maintains smooth operations, and enhances the operational efficiency of Perum Bulog.
