Abstract

The problem of poverty in Indonesia is an interesting problem to discuss and seek its solution. Poverty, unemployment and social inequality are a major and fundamental problem for some developing countries, including Indonesia. The development of poverty conditions in a country is one of the indicators to see the level of well-being of the people. The aim of this research is to find out the influence of inflation, open unemployment rates, government spending on education, and economic growth on poverty levels in the poor towns. The method used in this study is a double linear regression analysis. The study concluded that simultaneously inflation, open unemployment rates, government spending in the education sector, and economic growth influenced poverty levels in the poor city. Keywords: Poverty, Inflation, Open Unemployment, Government spending on education, and Economic Growth
