Abstract
The biggest contributor to greenhouse gases comes from the energy sector, namely the use of electricity from activities in buildings that have commercial functions such as malls, offices, hotels and apartments. . The use of electricity produces 70% of CO emissions2. This research aims to calculate carbon emissions from electricity use on the UPN "Veteran" East Java campus to determine the magnitude of CO emissions.2 produced so as to minimize its impact on the environment. The data used in this research is secondary data in the form of electricity usage data at UPN "Veteran" East Java in September 2022. This research method uses a Probability Sampling technique consisting of Proportionate Stratified Random. The data obtained will be analyzed using Ms. Excel and SPPS and presented using tables and graphs to display the amount of CO emissions2 generated from the use of electricity at UPN "Veteran" East Java. CO emissions2 generated from electricity usage activities at UPN "Veteran" East Java amounted to 156,362.15 KgCO2/kWh or 156,362 tonCO/kWh, with the largest emissions produced by the shared lecture building amounting to 28,911.30 KgCO2/kWh or 28,911 tonsCO2/kWh.
