Abstract

Melon (Cucumis melo L.) is a fruit that has a sweet and fresh taste. So far, many melon plants have been cultivated conventionally. Biofertilizers can reduce the use of synthetic fertilizers. The production of high and healthy melon plants by reducing the use of Mutiara NPK fertilizer with BGG fertilizer as a substitute is the aim of this research. The research was conducted in Sukosongo Village, Kembangbau District, Lamongan Regency, East Java, from March to May 2024. A factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) was chosen in this research. There are 2 factors, the first factor is Bioto Grow Gold (BGG) fertilizer with 4 levels: 0 ml/L(P0), ml/L (P1), ml/L (P2), and 4 ml/L ( P3). Meanwhile, the second factor is NPK fertilizer with 4 levels: 0 g/plant (N0), 60 g/plant (N1), 70 g/plant (N2), and 80 g/plant (N3). The results showed that the BGG fertilizer concentration treatment influenced fegetative and generative variables. Meanwhile, the treatment of the Mutiara NPK fertilizer dose influenced the fegetative and generative variables. The most optimal interaction between the combination of BGG fertilizer concentration and Mutiara NPK fertilizer dose occurred at a BGG fertilizer concentration of 3 ml/L and an NPK fertilizer dose of 70 g/plant, which could increase the melon sucrose level.
