Abstract
Agriculture is currently dominated by human resources who are elderly. Farming is still seen as an unpromising profession to this day, so people, especially young people, prefer to work as factory workers or work in the city. The aim of this research is to identify the characteristics of young farmers and analyze the factors that influence young farmers' interest in working in agriculture in Kradenanrejo Village, Kedungpring District, Lamongan Regency. The research method uses descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The research results prove that the majority of young people in Kradenanrejo Village, Kedungpring District, Lamongan Regency are female, aged 26-30 years, have a high school/K education, work as farmers with an income of IDR 1,000,000 - IDR 3,000,000/month, have family responsibilities. less than 2 people, and has an agricultural land area of more than 1 hectare. The results of the F test showed that the variables of skill, level of education, area of land ownership and social environment together had a significant effect on the interest of young farmers in the agricultural sector. The results of the T test showed that partially the variables of skill, level of education and social environment had a significant effect on the interest of young farmers in the agricultural sector. Meanwhile, the variable area of land ownership does not significantly influence the interest of young farmers in the agricultural sector. Keywords: Interests, Agriculture, Farmer Youth.
