Abstract
This study aims to identify the leading sectors in Malang Regency and understand the impact of the base sectors on Local Own-source Revenue (PAD) in that area. The research method employed is quantitative descriptive using secondary data. Analysis is conducted using several techniques, namely Location Quotient, Klassen Typology, and Multiple Linear Regression. The data used is the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) based on Constant Prices from 2013 to 2022 for Malang Regency and East Java Province. The Location Quotient analysis results show the presence of 6 base sectors in Malang Regency, while the Klassen Typology analysis identifies 6 sectors that fall under the categories of advanced and rapidly growing in Malang Regency. The results of Multiple Linear Regression indicate that base sectors have significant positive and negative impacts on Local Own-source Revenue (PAD) in Malang Regency. The agricultural, water supply, construction, and other services sectors have a significant negative impact. Meanwhile, the manufacturing industry and wholesale & retail trade sectors have a significant positive impact on Local Own-source Revenue (PAD) in Malang Regency.
