Abstract
Distribution is a crucial activity in corporate logistics. The use of vehicles as a means of distribution requires fuel, which has an impact on fuel consumption and costs. On the other hand, the use of motorized vehicles also produces exhaust emissions that have the potential to pollute the environment. To minimize these impacts, it is necessary to develop an optimal and efficient vehicle routing model. Therefore, this research aims to develop an efficient routing model to reduce fuel consumption and costs as well as carbon dioxide emissions in the distribution of snacks at UD Sumber Rejeki. This research uses primary data obtained through PIC Distributors and drivers of UD Sumber Rejeki, while secondary data is obtained through company data and external sources such as government agencies or institutions concerned. The method used in this research is the Ant Colony Optimization algorithm which will be processed with the python programming language through Google Colab software. Based on data processing with related methods, the new route with the Ant Colony Optimization algorithm is able to generate efficiency in terms of distance, fuel consumption, and fuel cost when compared to the company's method. In addition, the Ant Colony Optimization algorithm also produces less carbon dioxide emissions when compared to the company's method.
