Abstract
Indonesia has an abundant diversity of marine life that has earned Indonesia the nickname Marine Mega Biodiversity. However, most Indonesians have little knowledge about the wealth of the ocean, this is supported by the lack of facilities that present this. Lamongan Regency has potential in tourism development, especially coastal tourism. To maximize the potential of the sea and the high attractiveness of tourists, namely by developing marine tourism that provides a container that aims to exhibit, maintain, and develop marine life. In the design of this oceanarium, an analysis of facts, issues, and objectives regarding site conditions has been carried out, so the Duality in Spaces theme was chosen, which means combining two different things, namely recreation and education, into a building, namely an oceanarium. To support the theme, the design method of Meta-Mimesis is chosen, which is done by imitating or transforming an object. With the design of the Lamongan Oceanarium with an Iconic Architecture Approach, it is easier for people to enjoy the beauty of marine life so that it is hoped that this building will be able to become a new icon in Lamongan Regency.
