Abstract
Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) is a value used to assess the economic health of a region and provide an overview of the contribution of economic sectors to regional economic growth as well as the level of prosperiity of the region. This study aims to analyze the influence of the degree of fiscal decentralization, education, and open unemployment rate on the regional gross domestic product in the areas of Bangkalan Regency and Sidoarjo Regency. This research utilizes multiple linear regression analysis using time series data obtain from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) and the Directorate General of Fiscal Balance of East Java Province for the period of 2008-2022. The results obtained in this study indicate that partially, the degree of fiscal decentralization has a positive and significant influence on the regional gross domestic product in both Bangkalan and Sidoarjo Regencies, while education and the open unemployment rate do not have an effect on the regional gross domestic product in both areas. However, collectively, the degree of fiscal decentralization, education, and open unemployment rate have an influence on the regional gross domestic product in both Bangkalan and Sidoarjo Regencies.
