Abstract

Income inequality in Greater Surabaya is a common problem in a country in the context of income distribution between levels of social groups. Apart from that, this can be caused by uneven regional development. This can cause various negative impacts, such as injustice, dissatisfaction, conflict, crime, corruption, and obstacles to development. This research aims to analyze the effect of GRDP per capita, Poverty Level, and Minimum Wage on Income Inequality. The data used is panel data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics and the law on minimum wage in the period 2013-2023. The analysis method used is panel data regression analysis, using Eviews version 13. The results of the chow test and lagrange multiplier test show that the best model to use in panel data regression is the Commod Effect Model (CEM) with a statistical significant value of more than 5%. It can be concluded that simultaneously all independent variables have a positive and significant effect on income inequality. Meanwhile, partially GRDP per capita has a positive influence on income inequality and the variables of poverty rate and minimum wage have a negative effect on income inequality. Kata Kunci : Income Inequality, Per Capita GRDP, Capital Expenditures, And Minimum Wages
