Abstract
The agricultural sector is one sector that has an important role in the national economy. However, farmers as farming actors often face production problems such as crop failure due to climate change, pest attacks, etc. which result in decreased production and farmer income. Rice Farming Business Insurance (AUTP) is a type of government assistance designed to protect farmers from the risk of crop failure. This research aims to analyze farmers' perceptions and values regarding their willingness to pay for the AUTP program |and the f|actors th|at influence it. This research uses descriptive data analysis, Likert scale, contingent valuation method (CVM), and multiple linear regression. The research results show that 1) Farmers participating in the AUTP program have a positive perception with an average total score of 4.06. 2) For the AUTP program, the average WTP value of respondent farmers is IDR 40,264/Ha/MT and has variable factors of income and number of dependents which have a significant influence as well as variables of age, land status, land area, education and side jobs which do not have a significant influence. These results conclude that the respondent farmers have a positive perception of the AUTP program, thus opening up opportunities for program sustainability, but even though farmers are able to pay IDR 40,264/Ha/MT, farmers hope that the government will continue to provide premium subsidies as an effort to help minimize the risk of crop failure. may be accepted by farmers.
