Abstract

Purslane (Portulaca oleracea L.) is a weed plant that has many benefits because it is rich in nutrients so it can be used as a food ingredient that is consumed as a vegetable, herbal medicine and as a source of natural antioxidants. Success in cultivating purslane can be influenced by the nutritional content provided through fertilization to support plant growth, apart from that determining the right harvest age is necessary to obtain maximum production results. The purpose of this research is to determine the correct dose of guano fertilizer and harvest age for the growth and yield of purslane plants. The research was carried out in Tanggung, Kepanjenkidul, Blitar City, East Java in September-November 2023. The research method used a non-factorial Completely Randomized Design, namely the dose of guano fertilizer consisting of 4 levels: 0 g/polybag (D0), 15 g /polybag (D1), 20 g/polybag (D2), 25 g/polybag (D3). The research results showed that a treatment dose of 25 g/polybag guano fertilizer with a harvest age of 28 HST was the best treatment for the growth and yield of purslane plants.
