Abstract
Disodium Phosphate is widely used as an emulsifier in the process of making cheese, preparing ceramic glazes, dyeing textiles, air treatment (water treatment), and supporting materials in making detergents. The manufacture of disodium phosphate uses sodium carbonate and phosphoric acid as raw materials. The neutralization process was chosen because the reaction takes place spontaneously, the equipment and reaction stages used are simpler, the raw materials are easier to obtain and cheaper and do not use a catalyst. The disodium phosphate factory will operate 24 hours a day, 330 days a year. Briefly, the process of making disodium phosphate begins by reacting the raw materials in a reactor. The reaction conversion that occurred reached 95%. The product that has been formed in the reactor flows to the evaporator to be concentrated. After that, the product is flowed into a crystallizer to form disodium phosphate crystals.
