Abstract

Regency in which its production center is located in Sumbermanjing Kulon Village Pagak sub-district. There are two types of corn farming carried out by farmers, hybrid and non- hybrid corn farming. This research aims to identify differences in production and income of hybrid and non hybrid corn farming and factors affecting farmers' decision to grow hybrid corn, The data were analyzed using independent sample t-test and logistic regression. The result of the analysis showed that (1) there is a significant difference between the production and income of hybrid and non - hybrid corn farming, and (2) the factors that significantly affected farmers’ decision to grow hybrid corn varieties include farmer education, experience and income.
