Abstract

Competition in the business world today is getting tighter as technology continues to develop, one of which is the food business. This requires business owners to innovate in meeting customer needs by finding business strategies so that their business can survive and continue to grow. One of the actors in this business world competition is the Sidoarjo area ropi bakery which has problems in managing raw material stocks and needs a promotion strategy to increase sales profits. To overcome these problems can be solved by building an information system that can analyze store transaction data to find menu combinations based on transaction patterns made by consumers. Analysis of transaction patterns to obtain recommendations for menu combinations can be achieved with data mining association algorithms. Association data mining algorithms have many types, so this research will focus on analyzing two association data mining algorithms, namely the apriori and FP-Growth algorithms to find the best algorithm when implemented into information systems. In this study, a comparison was made by analyzing 637 transaction data consisting of three experiments with variations in the minimum support value of less than equal to 10% and a minimum confidence value of 60%.
