Abstract
Soil physical properties are soil properties that are related to the shape or condition of the original soil, which include texture, structure, bulk density, porosity, permeability. Research regarding the evaluation of soil fertility capabilities in several land uses in Besuki village, Sambit sub-district, Ponorogo district, using the Fertility Capability Soil Classification System (FCC) reference. This research aims to find out about the soil fertility of various land uses and examine the characteristics that influence the soil fertility of various land uses in Besuki village, Sambit subdistrict, Ponorogo district. This research uses purposive sampling and matching methods, while making maps using ArcGIS 10.3 software. Primary and secondary data were obtained from laboratory analysis results; field observations. The results of the research show that Besuki village in the Sambit sub-district, Ponorogo district is still dominated by rice fields, dry fields and mixed gardens which are quite well maintained, therefore there is a need to improve and manage land conservation principles to increase the value and function of land, so that the rate of decline in land fertility can be reduced.
