Abstract
The Sidoarjo Regency Government is currently making efforts to empower the community, including empowering the Sumber Pangan duck breeder group in the Salted Duck and Egg Village. The aim of this research is to find out and describe how to empower the Food Source Duck Breeders Group in the Duck and Salted Egg Village, Kebonsari Village, Candi District, Sidoarjo Regency. The research method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method through the Empowerment Stages theory which includes the Awareness Stage, Capacity Stage and Empowerment Stage. The research results show that the empowerment efforts carried out by the Agricultural Extension Center have not been optimal. At the awareness stage, it was discovered that there was no awareness among Sumber Pangan duck breeders regarding the importance of animal product suitability test certification or Veterinary Control Number (NKV). In the capacity building stage, it can be seen that there is a lack of public awareness to participate in empowerment efforts through coaching activities. In the empowerment stage, it is known that there is no sustainability of empowerment efforts through capital assistance activities and there is no participation of Sumber Pangan duck breeders in participating in the marketing assistance program.
