Abstract
Indonesia has produced large quantities of cocoa beans. The high production of cocoa beans has yet to be fully utilized by the domestic processing industry. This is one of the reasons for Indonesia to export excess unused cocoa beans. This study aims to analyze the factors that affect the supply, demand, and export of cocoa beans in Indonesia. The model in this study used simultaneous equations with the analysis method in the form of Two Stage Least Square (2SLS). The results of this study explain that domestic cocoa bean supply is influenced by domestic cocoa bean prices, domestic coffee bean prices, productivity levels, exports, and previous year's supply (t-1). Domestic demand for cocoa beans is influenced by domestic cocoa bean prices, domestic coffee bean prices, exports, and demand in the previous year (t-1). Meanwhile, cocoa bean exports are influenced by international prices, exchange rates, domestic supply, and domestic demand.
