Abstract
This study aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy, self control, and financial self efficacy on cryptocurrency investment decisions among Generation Z in East Java. A quantitative approach was employed, utilizing primary data collected through questionnaires distributed to Generation Z respondents in East Java who are currently investing or have previously invested in cryptocurrency. Data analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the SmartPLS application. The results indicate that financial literacy has a positive and significant effect on cryptocurrency investment decisions, with a path coefficient of 0.401 and a T-statistic of 5.419. Self control also has a positive and significant effect, with a path coefficient of 0.331 and a T-statistic of 4.758. Similarly, financial self efficacy exerts a positive and significant influence, with a path coefficient of 0.392 and a T-statistic of 5.509. The R-square value of 0.474 demonstrates that financial literacy, self-control, and financial self efficacy explain 47.4% of the variance in cryptocurrency investment decisions, while the remainder is influenced by factors outside the scope of this study. Thus, enhancing financial literacy, self control capabilities, and individual confidence in financial management can foster more rational and well directed cryptocurrency investment decision making.
