Abstract
This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of Perceived Usefulness and Perceived Ease of Use on the intention to use Shopee PayLater through attitude as an intervening variable among students of UPN “Veteran” East Java. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method involving 150 respondents who had previously used Shopee PayLater. The respondents were selected using non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS, through outer model evaluation, inner model evaluation, and bootstrapping hypothesis testing. The results indicate that Perceived Usefulness and Perceived Ease of Use have positive and significant effects on Attitude and Intention to Use Shopee PayLater. Attitude also has a positive and significant effect on Intention to Use. The strongest direct effect was found in the relationship between Perceived Ease of Use and Attitude, with a path coefficient of 0.470. Furthermore, Attitude partially mediates the effects of Perceived Usefulness and Perceived Ease of Use on Intention to Use Shopee PayLater, with indirect effects of 0.160 and 0.172, respectively. Overall, all hypotheses were accepted. This study concludes that Perceived Usefulness and Perceived Ease of Use play important roles in increasing students’ intention to use Shopee PayLater, both directly and through the formation of a positive attitude toward the service.
