Abstract
Teacher performance is an essential factor in supporting the effectiveness of the learning process and achieving educational objectives. However, the phenomenon of declining on-time task completion at Yayasan AT indicates performance-related issues that require further investigation. This condition is presumed to be associated with work discipline and teachers' ability to maintain a balance between work demands and personal life (work-life balance), as well as job satisfaction, which may serve as a mechanism for improving teacher performance. This study aims to analyze the contribution of work discipline and work-life balance to teacher performance and to examine the mediating role of job satisfaction among teachers at Yayasan AT, Krian District. This study employed a quantitative approach using primary data collected through questionnaires distributed to 60 teachers as respondents. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, with the criteria that respondents were female teachers who performed dual roles. Data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method with the assistance of SmartPLS software. The results indicate that work discipline has a positive contribution to both teacher performance and job satisfaction. Likewise, work-life balance contributes positively to teacher performance and job satisfaction. Furthermore, job satisfaction serves as a mediating variable in the relationship between work discipline and teacher performance, as well as between work-life balance and teacher performance. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that improving work discipline and work-life balance is crucial for optimizing teacher performance. In addition, job satisfaction plays a significant mediating role in linking work discipline and work-life balance to teacher performance. The findings provide practical implications for Yayasan AT to strengthen the implementation of work discipline, support employees' work-life balance, and enhance teachers' job satisfaction by creating a conducive working environment. Future research is recommended to incorporate additional variables and expand the research setting to obtain a more comprehensive understanding.
