Abstract
Issues of Fluctuations and Competition with Other Coffee-Exporting Countries in Exporting Coffee to the United States. This study employed a descriptive quantitative approach using secondary data from UN Comtrade and International Trade Map. The analytical methods used were descriptive analysis, Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA), and Trade Specialization Index (TSI). The results indicate Indonesian coffee exports to the United States experienced fluctuations. The average RCA value of 4.61 indicates Indonesian coffee possesses a strong comparative advantage in the United States market. The average TSI value of 0.99 suggests that Indonesia is a highly specialized coffee-exporting country. Comparative analysis reveals that Brazil had the highest comparative advantage with an average RCA value of 15.79, Indonesia at 4.61 and Vietnam at 2.09. These findings indicate Indonesian coffee strong comparative advantage in the United States market, although it still lags behind Brazil as the world's leading coffee exporter.
