Abstract
Indonesia has a rapidly growing agribusiness sector, which requires financing from both companies and the public to implement its economic development. One alternative is investing in the capital market. Financial performance assessments reveal the extent to which a company is able to generate profits, manage assets, and meet its obligations. This study aims to analyze the effect of Net Profit Margin (NPM), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), and Return on Equity (ROE) on the Price Earning Ratio (PER) of agribusiness companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2021–2025 period. The study used a quantitative approach with secondary data in the form of annual financial reports of agribusiness companies obtained from the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The research sample was determined using a purposive sampling technique, resulting in 15 agribusiness companies. Data analysis was performed using panel data regression with the help of Stata 19 software. The results showed that Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) had no significant effect on the Price Earning Ratio (PER), while Net Profit Margin (NPM) and Return on Equity (ROE) had a significant effect on the Price Earning Ratio. Simultaneously, all three independent variables significantly influenced the Price Earnings Ratio. The results indicate that profitability is the primary factor investors consider when assessing agribusiness companies. This study concludes that increasing the efficiency and profitability of agribusiness companies plays a significant role in increasing the investment attractiveness of the agricultural sector.
