Abstract

Kajoetangan in Malang is a cultural heritage-based tourist attraction that has seen an increase in visitor numbers following the revitalization of the area. On the other hand, the development of digital media has led tourists to increasingly rely on Electronic Word of Mouth (E-WOM) as a source of information before deciding to visit. However, research on the influence of E-WOM dimensions on visitation decisions at heritage tourist attractions remains relatively limited. This study aims to analyze the influence of Electronic Word of Mouth (E-WOM) comprising value, source, content, and platforms on tourists’ visit decisions to the Kajoetangan Malang Heritage Village. The study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method, distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents who had previously visited the Kajoetangan Heritage Village in Malang. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to test the influence of each E-WOM dimension both partially and simultaneously on visitation decisions. The results show that, when analyzed individually, only the “source” dimension has a positive and significant effect on the decision to visit, while the “value,” “content,” and “platforms” dimensions do not show a significant effect. However, when analyzed collectively, all four dimensions of E-WOM have a significant effect on tourists’ decision to visit. These findings indicate that the credibility of information sources is the most decisive factor influencing travelers’ decisions; therefore, destination managers need to strengthen their digital communication strategies by disseminating reliable information and encouraging travelers to post positive reviews Keywords: Electronic Word of Mouth (E-WOM), value, source, content, platforms, decision to visit.
