Abstract

ABSTRAK Industri film sudah berkembang pesat selama bertahun-tahun melalui cerita, peralatan, dan platform. Platform sangat penting untuk film, sekarang orang tidak harus pergi ke bioskop untuk menonton film. Itu karena ada platform OTT (Over￾the-Top) yang membantu film menjangkau audiensnya. Salah satu platform OTT yang paling terkenal adalah Netflix. Netflix telah memproduksi banyak acara populer, seperti The Haunting of Hill House (2018). The Haunting of Hill House adalah serial TV horor-drama yang memiliki 10 episode dalam 1 musim. Tapi acara ini lebih dari sekadar film horor biasa, acara ini memiliki makna yang lebih dalam tentang trauma dan keluarga. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori trauma antargenerasi untuk menganalisis bagaimana pengalaman traumatis yang dialami suatu generasi direpresentasikan sebagai warisan emosional yang memengaruhi karakter, relasi keluarga, dan konflik antargenerasi dalam narasi. Kata Kunci: .Trauma Antargenerasi, Serial Netflix, Industri Film, Genre Horor ABSTRACT The film industry has developed rapidly over the years through stories, equipment, and platforms. Platforms are very important for movies; nowadays people don't have to go to the cinema to watch films. That's because there are OTT (Over-the-Top) platforms that help films reach their audience. One of the most famous OTT platforms is Netflix. Netflix has produced many popular shows, like The Haunting of Hill House (2018). The Haunting of Hill House is a horror-drama TV series with 10 episodes in 1 season. But this show is more than just a regular horror film, it has a deeper meaning about trauma and family. This research uses intergenerational trauma theory to analyze how traumatic experiences experienced by one generation are represented as emotional inheritance that affects the characters, family relationships, and intergenerational conflict in the narrative.
