Abstract

Data analysis plays a crucial role in understanding customer behavior, evaluating sales performance, and supporting data-driven business decisions in e-commerce. This study analyzes the Olist Marketplace dataset to identify customer behavior patterns, sales performance, and the factors influencing customer satisfaction. The dataset, obtained from Kaggle, consists of customer, product, review, payment, and logistics data. The analysis was conducted through data collection, data cleaning, and Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) using Python, while the results were presented in an interactive dashboard developed with Looker Studio to provide intuitive data visualization. The analysis explores customer behavior, top-selling product categories, seasonal sales trends, and the relationship between customer reviews, logistics performance, and product pricing. The findings reveal valuable insights into optimal promotional periods, the highest-revenue product categories, and the key factors affecting customer satisfaction. Based on these findings, strategic recommendations are proposed to improve marketing effectiveness, inventory management, and customer service. Furthermore, the study demonstrates the practical application of data analytics techniques for extracting business insights from real-world e-commerce data.
