Abstract

The rapid advancement Digital Media has fundamentally transformed the landscape of political participation in Indonesia, shifting it into vibrant virtual public spheres. In this digital era, political activism transcends formal institutional boundaries, manifesting through political humor, satire, and parodies. A prominent example is the "Tembok Ratapan Solo" (Solo Wailing Wall) trend, where netizens satirically altered the Google Maps name of Indonesia's 7th President Joko Widodo's residence and performed mock rituals. This study aims to investigate the digital discourse constructed by netizens regarding this phenomenon on the @kompascom TikTok account. This study utilizes Rodney H. Jones' Digital Discourse Analysis. Data was collected through digital documentation of 936 comments on a video uploaded on February 2, 2026. Researcher was selected 10 representative comments based on satirical density and engagement metrics. The results across four dimensions reveal a highly complex discursive ecosystem. First is text, netizens actively utilized political slang "Yerusolo" and paralinguistic emojis to construct dark jokes. Second is context, the discourse was a response to the persistent shadow power post-presidency, evidenced by politicians continuously visiting the residence. Third is interaction, likes fiture were manipulated as passive communal validation while active discursive combat in "replies" was organically dominated by the contra group. Fourth is ideology, the contra group successfully dominated the narrative with a desacralization ideology. In conclusion, the phenomenon proves that political hierarchy in the digital era is no longer absolute and is highly susceptible to public delegitimization. This implies that political institutions must adapt to transparent and responsive digital communication rather than relying on traditional anti-criticism norms.
