Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between workload, compensation, and turnover intention among employees of Suweger Indonesia. The study employed a quantitative research approach, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to 62 employees of Suweger Indonesia. Data were analyzed using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method with the assistance of SmartPLS 4 software. The findings indicate that workload is associated with turnover intention, where higher levels of perceived workload are accompanied by a greater tendency among employees to consider leaving the company. In addition, compensation was also found to be related to turnover intention, indicating that the hypothesis proposing a negative relationship between compensation and turnover intention was not supported. These findings suggest that the relationship between compensation and turnover intention in this study differs from both the proposed hypothesis and the results of most previous studies. Therefore, the findings should be interpreted by considering the company's empirical conditions as well as other factors that may influence employees' decisions to leave the organization. This study is expected to provide practical insights for companies in evaluating workload management and compensation systems as part of their efforts to reduce employee turnover intention. Keywords: workload; compensation; human resource management; turnover intention.
