Abstract

Digital transformation has encouraged art spaces to manage artworks, exhibitions, and visitor interactions through more organized and accessible digital platforms. Survive! Garage, an alternative art space in Yogyakarta, still faces several operational limitations because artwork documentation, open call submissions, event publication, registration, and artwork inquiries are partly managed manually. These conditions affect data organization, information distribution, and public access to art activities. This research aims to design and develop a web-based art information system and digital gallery for Survive! Garage using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method, which consists of requirement planning, design workshop, and implementation. The system supports three user roles: admin, artist, and customer. It provides integrated features for artwork management, open call submission and curation, digital artwork catalogs, virtual exhibitions, event management, event registration and ticketing, payment processing, artwork inquiry, notifications, event check-in, website content management, and reporting. The system was tested through Black Box Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Black Box Testing included 95 scenarios for functional and non-functional scenarios covering quality, performance, and security aspects; all scenarios were completed successfully. UAT involved 12 respondents using 10 Likert-scale statements and produced a score of 561 out of 600, equivalent to 93.5%, which falls into the very good category. The results indicate that the developed website is feasible for supporting the management of artworks, events, open calls, inquiries, and digital galleries in a more effective, integrated, and accessible manner.
