Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effect of work discipline and work motivation on the job satisfaction of temporary nurses at Jemursari Islamic Hospital in Surabaya. The background of this study stems from the high rates of unexcused absences and high turnover among temporary nurses, which pose a challenge for hospital management in maintaining job satisfaction. This study employed a quantitative approach with data collection via a questionnaire. The sampling method used was saturation sampling, which included the entire population of 47 non-permanent nurses. The data analysis method applied in this study was descriptive analysis using Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results of this study indicate that work discipline has a positive and significant effect on nurses’ job satisfaction. Meanwhile, work motivation has a positive but insignificant effect on nurses’ job satisfaction.
