Abstract
This study aims to analyze the characteristics of the land locations of Women Farmers Groups (KWT) and the influence of KWT members' behavior, including knowledge, attitudes, and skills, on the adoption of agricultural technology in lettuce farming in Krembangan District, Surabaya City. The study used a quantitative approach with a survey method. The research location was purposively determined in Krembangan District because it is one of the urban agricultural centers that implements hydroponic cultivation technology. The sampling technique used total sampling with 60 respondents from the Women Farmers Group. Data were obtained through questionnaires, observations, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted descriptively to describe the characteristics of the land locations and respondent behaviors, and Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) was used to test the relationships between variables. The results showed that the characteristics of lettuce cultivation land locations in Krembangan District support the implementation of agricultural technology, as indicated by the availability of facilities and infrastructure, appropriate land use, and an active group environment in cultivation activities. The behavior of KWT members, including knowledge, attitudes, and skills, was in the high category. The results of the SEM-PLS analysis indicate that knowledge, attitudes, and skills have a positive and significant influence on the adoption of agricultural technology. Knowledge has a slightly higher direct influence than skills, while attitudes contribute the most to explaining the model. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.619 indicates that the three behavioral variables can explain 61.9% of the variation in agricultural technology adoption, while the remaining 38.1% is influenced by factors outside the research model. The results of this study indicate that improving the behavior of KWT members, particularly through strengthening attitudes, knowledge, and skills, can encourage the successful adoption of agricultural technology in lettuce farming in urban areas. Keywords: Women Farmers Group, behavior, knowledge, attitudes, skills, agricultural technology adoption, SEM-PLS, lettuce
