Abstract

PT Temprina Media Grafika Surabaya is one of the largest printing companies in Indonesia, facing challenges in the manual process of recording and monitoring production. Reliance on conventional methods and non-integrated communication often leads to inefficiencies, data input errors, and delays in monitoring production activities. To address these issues, a (HMI) system was developed to serve as an interface for data input and real-time production monitoring. The system was developed using the Laravel framework with a Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture to maintain organized code structure and ease of maintenance. Data storage is managed using MySQL, while the user interface is designed responsively with Bootstrap to ensure optimal usability across various devices. Key features of the system include daily production data entry, real-time job status monitoring, and input validation to minimize errors in recording and supervising production processes. The development process consists of several main stages: requirements analysis, system design, feature implementation, and testing. The analysis phase was conducted through direct observation of the production workflow at PT Temprina Media Grafika. The system design was realized in the form of use case diagrams, activity diagrams, and sequence diagrams. The implementation phase involved coding the core HMI modules and managing the database. Functional testing was conducted to ensure that each feature operated according to specifications, and the system was also tested in a real production environment to assess its alignment with operational needs. The development results indicate that this web-based HMI system improves the efficiency of production data recording and monitoring, reduces errors caused by manual methods, and provides faster and more transparent information access for both operators and management. Additionally, the system supports structured historical production data storage, which is useful for future performance evaluation and planning. This system has the potential for further development by integrating features such as production sensor connectivity, automated notifications, or analytical dashboards. These enhancements are expected to strengthen the company's overall digital transformation efforts at PT Temprina Media Grafika.
