Abstract
Robusta coffee is one of the leading plantation commodities that plays an important role in improving the economy and welfare of farmers in Indonesia. Prigen District, Pasuruan Regency, has considerable potential as a robusta coffee-producing area; however, farmers still face various risks that may affect the productivity and sustainability of their farming activities. This study aims to identify the types and sources of risk, analyze the severity and priority levels of risk, and formulate risk control strategies for robusta coffee farming in Prigen District, Pasuruan Regency. The study employed a purposive sampling method involving 50 robusta coffee farmers as respondents. Data were analyzed using the Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), fishbone diagram, and Pareto diagram methods. The results showed that the main risks faced by farmers include pest and disease attacks, unpredictable weather conditions, low harvest quality, fluctuations in coffee prices, and limitations in farm management. The recommended risk control strategies include improving cultivation techniques, strengthening farmer institutions, providing training and assistance, and enhancing post-harvest and marketing management practices to support the sustainability of robusta coffee farming.
