Abstract
enetration testing is a crucial step in ensuring the digital security of an entity, particularly the Semarang Provincial Government website. The primary purpose of penetration testing is to identify security vulnerabilities, evaluate the effectiveness of security policies, and provide recommendations for improvement. This testing is conducted through several stages, from planning and reconnaissance, scanning, exploitation, and reporting. This report presents key findings from penetration testing conducted on several government websites, including an analysis of vulnerabilities such as Cross-Site Scripting (XSS), SQL Injection, and SSL/TLS configuration deficiencies. This report is expected to raise awareness of the importance of digital security and provide concrete steps to strengthen website defenses.
