Abstract
Road pavement damage is an important issue in transportation systems because it can affect comfort, safety, and the efficiency of community mobility. The Gayam – Sidorejo Road section in Kediri District serves as an interregional connector with relatively high traffic activity, making it susceptible to pavement deterioration. This study aims to analyze traffic volume, identify types of pavement damage, determine road condition values and maintenance priority using the Bina Marga method, and map road conditions using a Geographic Information System (GIS). The research was conducted on the Gayam – Sidorejo Road section with a total length of approximately 8.336 km, which was divided into 9 observation segments. Data collection was carried out through field surveys including road inventory, identification of pavement damage, and traffic volume surveys. The collected data were analyzed using the Bina Marga method to determine the road condition value and maintenance priority, while the spatial mapping of road conditions was performed using ArcGIS software. The results show that the Average Daily Traffic (ADT) value is 10,808 pcu/day, which falls into traffic class 6. The types of damage identified include edge cracking, transverse cracking, longitudinal cracking, alligator cracking, rutting, potholes, and patching. The Bina Marga analysis indicates that most segments have priority values of 5–6, suggesting that the road section requires periodic maintenance.
