Abstract
This report aims to analyze movie popularity based on rental frequency using Pentaho and Tableau as the main tools. The analysis was conducted using the DVD Rental Database, which contains information about movies, customers, categories, and rentals. Movie rental data was processed through Pentaho to generate relevant structured information, and then visualized into two dashboards using Tableau. The first dashboard presents data such as Total Rental, Total Movies Rented, Top 10 Most Popular Movies, Movie Rental Trends, and the geographical locations of rentals. The second dashboard provides detailed information regarding total revenue, countries with the highest rental rates, average movie duration, and the number of rentals based on the highest ratings. This analysis provides a clear overview of movie popularity that can be used to design more targeted business strategies and monitor movie rental trends periodically.
