Abstract
The Regional Office of the Ministry of Law of East Java (Kanwil Kemenkum Jawa Timur) is a ministry engaged in legal services, especially in the East Java region. To maximise the information exchange process, the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law of East Java has a website that contains information on services available at the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law of East Java, call centre contacts, office addresses, social media of the Regional Office of Law of East Java, and articles on activities in the Regional Office of Law of East Java. The website is one of the crucial media for the information dissemination process, so it is important for an agency to maintain and maintain the website so that it can be recognised by the wider community. However, the implementation of the website at the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law of East Java is still not maximised, there are features on the website that still cannot be used, social media accounts have not been updated with official accounts, and the navigation layout is not neat. Therefore, to increase the usefulness of the website of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law of East Java, there are various things that must be improved. Improvements to the website aim to change the old appearance of the East Java Kemenkum Regional Office website to be more informative and up-to-date. The division of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights into three ministries is also the reason that the appearance on the website of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law of East Java must be changed. Some divisions had to be abolished and some new divisions had to be added. In addition, the office name and email contact on the old website had to be updated. Adjustments to the size of posters, buttons on the website, then the layout of the website size must be able to adapt to various kinds of electronic devices such as mobile phones, tablets, and computers. The website changes were made using a content management system (CMS) called Joomla. CMS allows the process of changing the appearance and features of the website to be easier. The use of CMS is quite simple, so a number of government agencies also use CMS to create and change websites. With the improvements made to the website, it is expected that the delivery of the website can be more effective and efficient.
