Abstract

This research explores the experience of Field Work Internships (FWI) in the financial sector of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, with a focus on managing Work Accident Insurance (WAI) claims. Through PKL activities, the author succeeded in gaining an in-depth understanding of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan operations, including data input, claims monitoring, and financial transaction processing. In a finance position, writing claim voucher codes, maintaining financial documents, and preparing monthly reports becomes an integral part of the intern team's contribution. FWI activities also introduced the author to the importance of social security for workers in Indonesia through BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. The social security system which includes protection against health, work accidents, old age, pensions and death is the main focus. In processing WAI claims data, research uses analytical methods such as K-Means and K-Modes, providing in-depth insight through grouping and analyzing claim data and claim frequency. Analysis of JKK claims data and recovery-treatment cases reveals the characteristics of companies with the highest claim rates. Projects to improve spending efficiency, involving data scraping techniques and case data analysis, provide recommendations for policy improvements. Overall, PKL in the financial sector of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan makes a significant contribution to developing skills and understanding related to the social security industry in Indonesia. This experience not only enriches practical knowledge, but also provides strategic insight for optimizing social security expenditures and services to support the sustainability of this institution.
