Abstract
Intensive farming on sloped areas in Tutur District, Pasuruan, risks degrading soil stability. This study analyzes the aggregate stability index and soil erodibility (K) across various land uses (mixed gardens, coffee, apple, dry lands, and forests) and slopes (8-45%). Soil physical-chemical properties were tested in the laboratory and analyzed using regression. Results indicate the highest aggregate stability in natural forests and mixed gardens (very stable). Conversely, soil erodibility is very high (0.57–0.66), driven by very fine sand and silt fractions. Regression analysis reveals that clay content significantly enhances aggregate stability, while erodibility is primarily influenced by soil texture and permeability. Organic carbon showed no significant effect. To ensure land sustainability, conservation through cover crops and organic matter inputs is recommended.
