Abstract

Video games have now evolved in terms of function, becoming not only a means of entertainment but also a part of the lifestyle of modern society. The Genshin Impact community itself has a layered consumption pattern. This study aims to examine the influence of the variables of peer conformity , financial technology, financial literacy, and locus of control on Generation Z Genshin Impact players in Indonesia. This study had a sample of 108 respondents with the criteria of being active Genshin Impact players, belonging to Generation Z, and having made premium item or Genshin Impact merchandise purchases at least four times in one month. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, data collection was done through questionnaire distribution, and the data was analyzed using Smart PLS software. The results of this study indicate that Peer Conformity and Financial Technology have a significant positive influence on consumptive behavior, while Locus of Control has a significant negative influence on consumptive behavior. However, Financial Technology does not have a significant contribution to consumptive behavior.
