Abstract

The selection of a thesis topic is a critical stage in the academic process that often becomes a significant barrier for students. This research develops the Computer Science Thesis Recommendation System (SRSIK Hub), an innovative web-based platform designed to help students discover thesis topics relevant to their interests and expertise. Using a Content-Based Filtering approach with Term Frequency Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) and Cosine Similarity algorithms, the system can analyze content similarity and generate accurate topic recommendations. A comprehensive evaluation using the WebUse Framework, involving 75 student respondents, resulted in a final score of 4.44/5, definitively indicating the system's good quality. With a comprehensive database from various campus repositories, involving approximately 4,000 theses, the platform not only provides references but builds a collaborative ecosystem that supports students' academic research processes efficiently and systematically
