Abstract
This report discusses the design of a Drinking Water Treatment Plant (DWTP) using raw water sourced from the Brantas River in Jombang Regency to meet the community’s demand for safe drinking water that complies with quality standards. The design is based on projections of domestic and non-domestic water demand, raw water quality characteristics, and applicable regulations, particularly those related to drinking water quality standards. The planned treatment units include intake, presedimentation, aeration, coagulation–flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, disinfection, reservoir, and sludge treatment using a sludge drying bed. In addition, this report presents mass balance calculations, detailed engineering design (DED), hydraulic profile analysis, as well as the preparation of the Bill of Quantity (BOQ) and Cost Estimate (RAB). The proposed design is expected to serve as a technical reference for the development of an efficient and sustainable DWTP capable of producing potable water suitable for consumption by the people of Jombang Regency.
