Abstract
This study aims to analyze how the Instagram account @wardahbeauty packages and delivers content themed personal colour analysis (PCA) through the “Wardah Colourverse” campaign. The focus of this research is to understand the forms and themes of messages used by Wardah in building communication with its audience. The research employs a qualitative approach using content analysis techniques applied to posts in the form of photos, videos, and captions published on the @wardahbeauty Instagram account. The results show that the messages used are categorized into two forms: informative, persuasive. Informative messages are predominantly used to provide insights into the importance of choosing colors based on skin undertones, while persuasive messages aim to encourage audiences to try Wardah products that are tailored to the results of personal colour analysis. The dominant themes include personal colour analysis, product recommendations, educational content, and promotion of the Wardah Colour Station event. Overall, Wardah’s communication strategy is proven to be effective not only in conveying messages and building emotional connections with the audience, but also in generating positive impacts, such as increasing audience understanding, interest, and self-confidence in selecting colors and products that suit their personal characteristics.
