Abstract
Children are the nation's assets who determine the future progress of the country, making their well-being a top priority. One of the major issues facing children in Indonesia is the high rate of child marriages, which contradicts Law Number 35 of 2014 on Child Protection. This issue is currently being faced by Kunjorowesi Village, Ngoro District, Mojokerto Regency, where Ngoro District has the highest number of child marriage dispensation cases, with 37 applications, and Kunjorowesi Village ranks among the top three villages with the highest rate of child marriages, recording 19 applications. This research aims to examine the implementation of child protection policies against child marriage in Kunjorowesi Village, Ngoro District, Mojokerto Regency. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, as the results will describe the findings based on observations regarding the implementation of child protection policies against early marriage. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of child protection policies against child marriage in Kunjorowesi Village shows positive outcomes, with a good understanding from the Village Head, along with support from awareness campaigns, solid inter-organizational communication, and strong synergy among related institutions, although there are still challenges related to budgeting. However, external factors such as social, economic, and educational conditions of the community remain obstacles that need to be addressed for the awareness campaigns and child marriage prevention efforts to be more effective.
