Abstract
PT. CPA Pertamina EP Field Sukowati handles the processing of oil, gas, and water. The oil processing operations consist of two main stages: separating oil from gas, water, and other impurities, followed by a purification stage to remove any H₂S present in the oil. Gas processing involves two types of gas: sweet gas, which is utilized in the H₂S removal process, and sour gas, which is produced as a result of that process. The sweet water treatment begins after oil is extracted from underground using pumps and transported through pipelines to the CPA facility. Once processing is complete, the oil is pumped into storage tanks. Because all these operations rely heavily on piping and pumping systems, preventive measures and risk controls are essential to minimize workplace accidents that may occur due to leaks, overheating, or other operational failures.
