Abstract

Abadi Store is a retail store that sells a variety of products, including woven bags, towels, clothing, and more. Based on interviews with the business owner, several problems occurred in the business process, including frequent stockouts and a lack of detailed transaction recording that records income and expenses periodically and integrates them. Based on these problems, the development of a local POS system is expected to provide a solution by calculating stock using reorder points and safety stock. The system was developed using the waterfall model and UML, as user needs have been clearly identified. The final results show that the POS system development solution using the ROP and SS methods has successfully accommodated the previously identified functional needs. This system will later assist the sales and purchasing processes at Abadi Store, as well as calculate reorder point and safety stock values for each product to plan product reorders. The calculation test achieved 100% accuracy with a sample of 66 out of 79 items, with a 95% error tolerance. The results of User Acceptance Testing conducted with five respondents showed that all variables were in the Very Good category, with a system design of 96.8%, effectiveness of 97.6%, and efficiency of 92.8%.
